Yaser Saoudy

“For me, art is not just a hobby or a profession — it is a life mission, a bridge of connection between myself and the world. Each stroke carries a piece of my soul, and every painting is an invitation for others to see life through my eyes. Through colors, forms, and emotions, I strive to spark reflection, awaken memories, and remind people of the beauty hidden in the simplest details of our lives.”

-Yaser

Yaser Saoudy is an Egyptian artist from Aswan who came to painting outside the traditional fine arts route. He studied German at the Higher Institute for Languages and graduated in 2012, but painting gradually became the work he took most seriously. He developed largely on his own, learning through experimentation rather than formal studio training.

His work covers a wide range of subjects and materials, including acrylic, watercolor, gouache, oil, pastel, ink, pencil, and mixed media. He paints landscapes, still lifes, figures, architectural scenes, and more abstract work, usually allowing the subject to determine how controlled or loose the painting becomes. Acrylic is the medium he feels closest to, but his portfolio shows a willingness to move between techniques rather than repeat the same approach.

Since 2016, Yaser has taken part in exhibitions and art events across Egypt, including El-Hanager Art Center, the Cairo International Book Fair, Azad Gallery in Zamalek, Art Corner Gallery, and events connected with the Cairo Opera House and Fayoum.
